CR Helicopters strives to keep helicopter training affordable, while maintaining quality and the safety of our pilots in training. We have a full time Robinson factory trained A&P mechanic on staff to help in any situations or answer any of your questions.

    Helicopter Rates   
    Rentals are wet (meaning all fuel and oil included, no extra charges, no sales tax)
    Dual is with an instructor.

    Aircraft and Ground Rates

    Robinson R22 Solo - 225.00/hr

    Robinson R22 Dual - 240.00/hr

    Robinson R44 Solo - 355.00/hr

    Robinson R44 Dual - 375.00/hr

    Robinson R44 Scenic - 450.00/hr

    Robinson R44 Instrument - 375.00/hr

    One on One Ground - 35.00/hr

    At CR Helicopters we offer training for Private, Commercial, Instrument, Certified Flight Instructor and Certified Flight Instrument Instructor.  We also offer IFR refresher courses and flight reviews.

    Instruction  is given  in the  Robinson R22 and R44, and our Instument training is done in an R44.

    Our ground instuction is povided one-on-one with your instructor.  Aircraft and ground instruction is billed on the day of the flight. We offer a discount for cash/check deposits, please call for details. There are no contracts and no time limits.

     At CR Helicopters, we believe in quality over quantity.  We want to have the best prepared students. We provide quality instruction that will give students experience to expand their career opportunities.  Unlike some schools with a classroom environment, our one on one instruction ensures you get the best training possible.  With our one on one ground training, you can do as much or as little ground as you need.

    No set classes means the schedule is open, come in and fly when it works for you; there is no set schedule.We offer goal oriented instruction, flying taylored to you with no monetary contracts or time committments.



    Programs and Rates:

    Private Pilot Minimums

    30 hours dual instruction

    10 hours solo flight

    Pass an FAA Written Knowledge Test

    Pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test  

    Obtain a FAA Medical Certificate

    Must be 17 years old

    Be able to read, write, speak and understand English  


    Instrument Rating Minimums

    40 hours of dual instruction

    50 hours of pilot in command cross country

    Pass an FAA Written Knowledge Test

    Pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test  


    Commercial Pilot Minimums

    150 total hours

    100 hours of pilot in command time FAA Written Knowledge Test

    Pass an FAA Written Knowledge Test

    Pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test


    Certified Flight Instructor Minimums

    At least 3 hours of dual instruction

    Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Tests

    Pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test


    The hours listed above are the minimum hours required by the FAA to be eligible for the listed ratings.  It is not uncommon to fly more hours than required.  For details or further information on these programs or our other services, please contact us.
