CPL: Commercial Pilot License

The commercial license is the next step on the professional helicopter pilot's path to success. The commercial license is required to fly for hire. In addition to perfecting the maneuvers you learned during your private training, your commercial training will introduce you to advanced helicopter maneuvers.

To become a commercial helicopter pilot you need to mee the following requerments

• 18 Years old
• Hold at least a private pilot certificate
• Pass a written test given by the FAA.
• Pass an oral, and flight test
• Logged 150 hours of flight time, of which 50 hours must be in helicopters
• Logged 100 hours of PIC flight time,of which at least 35 hours must be in helicoper
• 20 hours of training with an instructor
• 10 hours of solo flight time in a helicopter
